Andrew Breitsprecher is a teaching artist and actor from Iowa. He was born and raised in a small rural community in northern Iowa. He is enrolled at the University of Northern Iowa as a double major in theatre performance and theatre for youth and communities, expected to graduate in May 2026.
Andrew started enjoying theatre in elementary school when he saw his brother play Charlie Brown in the high school musical. Growing up, he always wanted to do theatre in some sense but was unable to do so due to the lack of access in his area. Once Andrew got to high school, he was able to participate in the school play, and through this, he lit a spark that led to a passion. He used this passion to expand outward from high school into community theatres in nearby cities. After doing several shows with a community theatre, Andrew felt confident about pursuing theatre at the collegiate level. Andrew’s big dream is to bring the spark of joy that he got from theatre to others.
